Jesús Franco
Jesús Franco (ur. 12 maja 1930 w Madrycie jako Jesús Franco Manera) - hiszpański reżyser, scenarzysta, aktor i kamerzysta. Franco jest jednym z najbardziej aktywnych reżyserów na świecie - od czasu swojego pierwszego dzieła z 1957 do najnowszego z 2010 roku nakręcił ich już ponad 190[1] (niektóre pod innym pseudonimem). Najbardziej znanymi obrazami z długiego dorobku Jesúsa są Venus in Furs (Wenus w Futrze) z 1969[2] oraz Dziewica wśród żywych trupów (polskie nietrafne tłumaczenie) z 1973[3][4], jednak mimo wszystko są one niemal w ogóle nieznane w kraju nad Wisłą. W wielu filmach reżyseria wystąpiła jego młodsza o 24 lata żona o imieniu Lina Romay (np. w Mari-Cookie and the Killer Tarantula in 8 Legs to Love You[5] z 1998 wcieliła się w pajęczycę lesbijkę). Większość dzieł twórcy to nietypowe produkcje erotyczne, które to zaczęły pojawiać się w jego dorobku pod koniec lat 60. XX i dominują w jego repertuarze aż do dziś.
